Today is Soowan's birthday!! We started off by going to church and then headed back home. My mom came over after church, and we all went out to lunch. I wanted to take Soowan someplace that had a fun atmosphere, but with good food, so I decided on The Hard Rock Cafe downtown. It was quite an adventure getting there, considering it rained extremely hard the whole way to the restaurant. We decided to take advantage of the valet service, so we wouldn't get too wet if we parked and walked ourselves. Unfortunately we were not that "lucky". We still seemed to get our shoes, socks and the cuffs of our pants soaked in the small walk from the valet port to the front door! Once inside we dried off, and were ready to have a good time. Lunch was delicious, and to top off the meal our waiter had Soowan stand on top of a table while everyone that was dining sang "Happy Birthday" to him!!!
The drive home was 3 times worse than on the way there. What should of been a 20 minute drive took well over an hour! The rain was relentless, and never let up. The streets were flooded, and it seemed like at every other intersection there was either an accident or a stalled vehicle in the high water. Soowan did a great job navigating around the city and getting us home safely.
For dinner I prepared Soowan's favorite, POT ROAST!!! He had two servings, and he even kissed the cook! (That would be me). We ended the night with a yummy ice cream cake!!! I even lit 33 candles on top, and the cake looked as if it were a blazed!!! Micah helped Soowan blow them all out, and by the end they were both out of breath.
