Our little Miss Amanda came home on Friday, April 27, 2007! We were notified on Monday April 23rd of her homecoming and we quickly made our travel arrangement to Los Angeles to bring Amanda home. When we first saw her there were so many emotions being felt. The escort handed her to Soowan first, and she immediately looked up at him and smiled. It was the most wonderful moment in the world. When Soowan handed Amanda to me, my heart melted and all the pain of waiting for that moment was replaced with a renewed scene peace and contentment.
We've been home since Friday evening, and so far she is adjusting fairly well. We are still working on her sleeping pattern, but other than that she is what we love to say a dream baby. She is very easy going, and only fusses when she needs something or doesn't like the position you are holding her in. Once her need is met or placed the right way she is all smiles.
Amanda loves to babble and coo, and she goes into these little tangents where it sounds like she's singing, but she's really squealing for a long period of time. It's very cute. She also LOVES to bounce around. When we hold her in our lap she presses off of us and bounces up and down. We put her in the "Johnny Jumper" we received as a gift, and she turns into a little jumping machine. We all get kick out of watching her go. It also gives me a chance to make dinner and be able to watch her at the same time.
Micah is doing very well as his new roll as big brother. He absolutely adores his baby sister, and she is becoming quite fond of him as well. He loves to try and make her smile, and he volunteers to change her when she's wet. We haven't let him change a poopy diaper yet, but for some reason he really wants to. Crazy, huh?
So far everything is going smoothly, and we are so in love with little Miss Amanda. Here are some pictures of our first moments as a family of four!
