It's been a while, but things have been crazy, busy. First off, HUGE PRAISE... We sold our house! It didn't take long either. The house went on the market 12/11/08 and we got a bid on 1/12/09. Our house passed inspection, and we ended the option period Friday of last week. Escrow is due to close on 2/25/09.
The weekend of January 16th, (which was a 3 day weekend) we went house hunting. We were blessed to be referred to an awesome Realtor, who showed us the area and gave us a lot of sound advice, (considering we don't know much about the Austin area). In three days we looked at over 30 homes. It was exhausting, yet fun at the same time. We left Austin with a 'top 5 favorite' home list. We returned to Austin this past weekend to take a more thorough look at each home on our short-list, and we made an offer. After two days of going back and forth with the seller, the house ours (per se). We're in the option period for the next week, pending inspection, appraisal, etc. The house is only 4 years old, so it's newer and hopefully nothing HUGE will come up on the inspection. If all works out we'll be moving in at the end of February!
