FC DALLAS GAME

On Sunday evening we went to the FC Dallas vs. L.A. Galaxy game with the Smith Family. Micah and his buddies, being the soccer enthusiast they are, were really excited to see David Beckham play. We purchased tickets to sit close to where #23 would be making his 'great plays' but the Galaxy ended up playing more of an defensive game then an offensive one. FC Dallas won the game 4-0 and we didn't see any 'awe inspiring moves' come from Beckham. It seemed like the Galaxy players (including Beckham) were not very interested in winning the game, let alone play a good game.

My friend Kathy and I had fun people watching, since the game was not all that exciting. Nearby us there were many 20 and 30 something year old women who dressed themselves up as sleazy as they possibly could, in hopes to get a glance from Beckham. COME ON LADIES... He's married in the first place, and do these women actually think Beckham is going to walk off the field, carry them off into the sunset and they will live happily ever after? It's so sad how delusional some adult, women are these days.

Most of these women purchased tickets where they could sit on the field (right below us), and they were wearing the shortest skirts/dresses as possible, with 4 inch heels on. We thought there choice of attire was rather interesting considering it was 102 degrees out and they had to walk up and down the stadium stairs to use the restroom, get food, drinks, etc. One girl in particular was wearing a yellow dress that you could see through (completely) and wearing no undergarments. I think someone complained and an employee from the park made her put on a long, t-shirt to cover herself up. There was a huge applause from the crowd (who were mostly families with kids) when they saw the usher hand this woman the t-shirt.

So between the game not being very good and witnessing women who looked like they should be on the corner of Sunset and Vine in Hollywood, I have to say the evening was rather disappointing.

One cute thing did occur though. We bought some cotton candy and Amanda had no clue what it was. When I handed her a large piece, she began to hug and cuddle it! She thought the cotton candy was a lovey! TOO CUTE! She soon realized the fluffy, pink stuff was meant to be eaten, and that she did! I wish I would of got a picture of her hugging the cotton candy, but the battery in my camera had died earlier in the evening. :0(
