Getting Settled

We're starting to get settled around here. Most of the boxes have been unpacked. WOO-HOO! We still have some work to do, but at least all of the things we use on a day to day basis are put away. What's left to be done is to hang all of our pictures, decorate and get the garage in order so we can finally park inside of it!

This week is Micah's Spring Break. It's been a pretty low key one too. Micah went to a birthday sleepover and we did a few outings locally, but that's about it. Yesterday was Soowan's birthday! YEAH! He had to work (boo!), so we met him at the Cheesecake Factory for lunch! Micah helped me bake birthday brownies and we had to use a long, tapered dinner candle for him to blow out. Someone forgot to buy candles (that would be moi), so we had to improvise.

This evening we checked out a place that many people have recommended called The Oasis. Let's just say the view and the margaritas made up for the so-so food and bad service. If we ever go again I think we would just go for dessert and watch the sunset. The restaurant does offer a beautiful panoramic view of Lake Travis and the sunset this evening was gorgeous. All in all we had an enjoyable evening together as a family... and that's what really matters.
