My sister sent this video of NKOTB performing on the Today Show. It's kind of funny seeing them all grown up and singing their old songs on stage. Kind of creepy seeing them up there performing. What's even creepier is seeing all the women, MY AGE... getting all worked up as if they were some teenager. EEEEWWWW!!!!
Apparently NKOTB are going on tour, but you won't find me at any of their reunion concerts. I really prefer not to be found in the mix of the 'desperate, still stuck in the 90's, and I'm in my mid-30's complex'. Nope... I left my junior high and high school ways far behind me.... THANK GOODNESS!!!
I will admit I really liked the group back when I was a freshman in high school. My sister and I listened to their music and would try to win concert tickets on the local radio stations, etc. It's fun to hear their music and remember the fond and not so fond memories of yesteryear... but I'm not going stand in the rain at Rockefeller Plaza, screaming in excitement because I'm watching these has-beens preform. Maybe it's just me... I don't know.

Nancy, Come on....You loved them..Remember the posters...I know its sad to see all the women our age in the crowd...But it just made me smile and laugh...I had to blog about it...You know I still have my NKOTB cd's and have a few old songs in my Ipod...Im a dork...

Ok....I dont think I would wait in the rain to see them....But if tickets went on sale in sweden...I admit I would go to a concert...But there is something funny about seeing them all up there singing..It brings back memories...I remeber tring to call KISS FM to win tickets....what girls we were:)

Okay....I feel REALLY old now! My half sister (who is NINE years younger than I) loved them!!! Can you believe Journey's Escape, Foreigner 4, Prince's Purple Rain and Van Halen's 1984 were the popular music when I was in HIGH SCHOOL!!!! Oh man. I am OLD!

When you mentioned Prince's Purple Rain... It reminded me of an arguement my parents had with my cousin (she lived with us), about her not being able to see the movie, 'Purple Rain'.
I remember Journey... I still listen to them and would attend one of their concerts!
BTW... You're not old! Besides with your great skin, I'll be looking older than you very soon!

Thanks for the memories...and for a good laugh. My husband and kids would be so embarrased if I stood in the rain screaming about an old "boy band" with all of the other soccer moms!
I just have to tell you, Nancy, that while you "remember" Journey...they were NOT classic rock when I listened to them!!!;O
